AWW LitSalon

My sister just went to the Kentucky Derby and wore a super obnoxious hat–so obnoxious fourteen strangers asked her if they could take her picture–and I think I might have an event that warrants borrowing the hat.

Antioch Writers’ Workshop is hosting another LitSalon fundraiser, and get this, I’m the featured author. I couldn’t be more excited about this, or more humbled to be asked. It’s going to be a great afternoon, either because it will all go well and we’ll become new best friends, or because I’ll make a colossal ass of myself, starting with showing up in a crazy hat, followed immediately by spilling dip down the front of my dress. But either way, for $20 ($35 for two!), I’ll do my best to make it worth everyone’s money. Money, I’ll add, that is going to help fund the workshop scholarships, and 50% of which is tax-deductible for participants. I won’t even get into how much good this will repay you in karma.

It’s Sunday, June 1, 4:00-7:00. For more details or to register, click here.

I don’t know. I’m thinking I need the hat.
