Two of my students have books!
James Brubaker won the 2013 Subito Press prose competition and they will publish his book Liner Notes in 2014! And I will be first in line (or more accurately, on-line) to order a copy. I worked with him my first year at Wright State and fell in love with his fiction, and now, thanks to the brains at Subito press, come 2014, you can fall in love with it, too.

And Suzanne Kelly just published her first novel, Stolen Child, with Bottom Dog Press! I remember reading an early draft of this in my novel-writing class a few years ago and being blown away by the details, how well Suzanne captured the liminal state between childhood and adulthood, and what it means, both good and bad, to be from an Irish family. True dat, Suzanne. I can’t wait to see the final version, which is auto-delivering wirelessly to my kindle as I type this. Ah, technology!
Congrats to both these wonderful writers!
